The Golden Rule: RESPECT
By: Katie Arbach

Once again every month the Hoven School District will have a Dakota Character trait.  Dakota Character is an educational framework for teaching different values.  The theme for October is respect.  Respect means to show consideration for yourself, others, property, rules, and authority.
Our school values respect and teaches about bullying to emphasize the fact that if you are bullying or picking on someone else; you are not respecting them.  Every day on the announcements we hear a quote for the Dakota Character trait of the month.  As the students learn more and more about positive values, we hope to see a positive influence on our school and community.
